    Here we have a gorgeous antique bentwood and cane highchair by D.G. Fischel and Sons. Made in the early 1900's, this is truly a stunning piece and in wonderful condition. The cane webbed seat and backrest are perfectly intact with no damage. The tray lifts all the way over the back of the chair by way of a pin that you pull. With this design, the chair can be used as the child grows. The sleek long legs splay at the bottom, and the style does not disappoint! On the underside of the seat there are two wood burned labels that you can make out to read "Czechoslovakia" and "Fischel". The stain appears to be cherry. The chair is very secure and sturdy and can still be used today. The design of the legs helps it from tipping over, much like school chairs were made. This piece is in very good condition, with some knicks and fading to the stain which is to be expecting in a piece over 100 years old.

    Conditions of return

    Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    If I need to return an item, what is the process?

    If for some reason you are unhappy with your purchase, send a me a message first. I will send you a prepaid label (USPS Priority), you will download it, print it and put it on the package.
    Try to keep all original packaging it came in/with because 1) I would like to get it back packaged safely 2) when I purchase the label, I have to enter weight and box dimensions so I go off of what it was when it was shipped.
    Once I receive the package, you will get a refund on the price of the item plus tax. You will be responsible for shipping cost, so the price you paid for shipping originally will not be refunded.

    What if I prefer another shipper, such as UPS or Fedex. Will you ship with them?

    Absolutely! Just let me know prior to purchasing and I can calculate shipping based off 1) your shipper preference 2) your desired shipping time 3) your zip code

    Do you ship internationally?

    Some pieces I do. It will be in the “Shipping” section of the listing. If there is something you see, that I currently don’t have international shipping setup on, send a message and I will consider!

    Will you combine shipping?

    On some things, yes. Sometimes there are pieces that are too fragile for me to comfortably ship with another item. It’s really dependent on the items being purchased. Please message me prior to checkout , to discuss options.
